SOME ORIGINAL SCHILLING PLATES 1933-1948









The exciting thing about having these plates to look over is the artwork done to [add] to the style of the bird, these were then photocopied and used in catalogs, or adds for the owner, a bird lacking in some front or perhaps a section of tail  was helped out. I t was not termed as cheating, but was perhaps a little mis-representation. The Columbian ckl has some extra front, the Red actually has less front,the Wyandotte has help in the saddle,and a bit moreheight in tail,the Leghorn male has double the tail.The Barred has barring all over added. Very interesting...
