BOOKS ON POULTRY VIEW MY BIBLIOGRAPHY [chickenhistorynow.blogspot.com ]
Please be aware that I am adding to the list in this blog weekly, if not daily, it's worth a look, have over 300 unique titles now listed, and many more to come, I have listed books by published date. I like to see the periods of knowledge coming forth thru the works. it also shows the strenghths and beginnings of breeds, and also their decline, strong works were published in the 1880's(1885)being one of my favourite years.the other strong period was just after the war 1918-1922. I can witness the decline of pure breds,the introduction of hybrids, the neccessity of trapnesting , then progeny testing, the value of cockerels to the egg count, booklets even published just to sell prepotent ckls.All very interesting.. will try and list 30-50 books every week .list should go up to 800 easy.

ReplyDeleteHi,many of the smaller mating lists and catalogs are posted ,or will be posted, unfortunetely the larger volumes, I am not capable of posting, they are in the bibliography, so that people have info on out of print titles that would not be found otherwise, many of these can be found on ABEBOOKS for quite often good prices, this blog is set up to at least show some of the content out there that would otherwise be lost forever.please look thru post at the HOME PAGE, at the bottom of the page you can go to older or newer posts to find more, otherwise click on a month and date and posts will be highlighted,hope this helps, I am at work and very busy, so postings will be limited,as time permits, but all seems to be going good, lots of views from all over the world,doubling in volume every few months, thanks again.
